Yes. The Château d’Augerville is designated a Historic Monument. Its history dates back to the 12th century: first mentioned in 1119, it was notably owned by Jacques Cœur in 1452, who served as financial advisor to King Charles VII. Catherine de Médicis and King Charles IX stayed there in 1562. The estate also welcomed Chateaubriand, Alexandre Dumas, Franz Liszt, and Eugène Delacroix. Now fully restored, it houses a 5-star Golf & Spa Resort hotel that is open year-round.
How far is the Château d'Augerville from Paris?
The estate is located about 75 km from Paris, or a 1-hour-and-15-minute drive via the A6. By public transportation, the nearest station is Malesherbes (RER Line D from Paris Gare de Lyon). A private shuttle service can be arranged upon request at the front desk.

Yes. The 18-hole course at Château d’Augerville is ranked among the ten most beautiful courses in France by Golf Magazine. It spans the 100-hectare estate and offers a remarkable view of the château from the 18th-hole green.
Do you have to play golf to stay at the castle?
No, golf is just one of many activities. Guests come for the spa, the fine-dining restaurant, the chocolate shop, seminars, or simply to enjoy the setting and the 100-hectare grounds. Many wellness, romantic, or family getaways do not include golf.
Is the course suitable for beginners?
Yes. The course is open to players of all skill levels. A golf instructor is available for private or group lessons. Introductory sessions are organized for families, couples, and groups.

What facilities does the Château d'Augerville Spa offer?
The spa features a heated indoor sensory pool, a Turkish bath, a sauna, and several treatment rooms, including a “Le Jardin de Louise” duo treatment room. The treatments offered use products from the Phytomer brand.
Is access to the spa limited to hotel guests?

Is the Jacques Cœur restaurant open to outside customers?
Yes. The Jacques Cœur fine-dining restaurant welcomes guests who are not staying at the hotel. Reservations are recommended at +33 (0)2 38 32 12 07. The panoramic terrace overlooking the park and the golf course is open on sunny days.
What is the Les Douceurs d'Augerville chocolate shop?
The chocolate shop is an artisanal workshop located on the estate, run by master chocolatier Hervé Boudot. Handmade chocolate creations are available for tasting and purchase on site. Chocolate-making workshops can be incorporated into seminars and group events.

Does the Château d'Augerville host corporate seminars?
Ideally located in the Île-de-France region, 1 hour and 15 minutes from Paris, the Château d’Augerville is a premier venue for seminars near Paris and corporate events held in a château. The Pavillon, a building entirely dedicated to meetings, offers 5 modular rooms ranging from 50 to 330 m², all with natural light, for groups of 8 to 220 people. Two VIP rooms for executive committees are also available. Incentive and team-building packages are offered in the Espace Robinson. Request a quote via the official website.
Can we hold a wedding at the Château d'Augerville?
Yes. The castle features a 330 m² air-conditioned reception area with a large fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a view of the golf course, as well as a private terrace. It can accommodate events for up to 600 people. The staff assists with event planning and offers a selection of partner vendors.

The Château d’Augerville is ideally located between several must-see attractions in the region: the Château de Fontainebleau (24 km), the artists’ village of Barbizon (30 km), the Château de Chamerolles, and the French Gâtinais Regional Nature Park. The Fontainebleau Forest, accessible from the estate, offers hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing trails.
Are there any outdoor activities available?
Yes. In addition to golf, the estate and its surroundings offer opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, running, and rock climbing in the Fontainebleau Forest. Hot-air balloon rides over the estate are organized regularly. The Espace Robinson, which reopened in 2025, also offers outdoor activities.
